    Giuseppe Meazza is the greatest he won 2 world cups and is the all time top goal scorer italian player of all time and second in the national team.

    Baggio is a close second though.

    As Italian footbal was the first to be passionate about I really couldn't choose.. From goal keepers to point strikers I could pick at least one for every position.

    Baresi is solid AF! I can see from the comments that most are young ones, like me. When you talk about the best Italian EVER, you can't base your answer from 89 and after ONLY. There were decades of Italian excellence prior to that.😊

    Despite my love for Baggio coming from a fiorentina fan i have to say im disappointed that people dont think about goalkeepers. Best italian players are most likley Buffon/maldini regarded as the best of all times in they respective roles, than comes baggio and personally Del Piero/Totti, but despite the "hatred" towards juve i must say Del piero between 94-98 was the only human able to handle a comparison with the best player who ever lived wich is Ronaldo.

    He was on top from mid 92 to end 94 …
    Ballon d’or 93 plus … was the best player on the 94 WC … almost ballon d’or 94 … but lost in final and missed his PK …
    Del piero was for long in his shadow…. He can’t pick him
